God’s call to UK believers in 2010: Evangelism, Evangelism, Evangelism.

The final instructions to the church of Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago now were “Go ye therefore and teach all nations…”  that clarion call to evangelism is still as relevant in A.D. 2010 as it was in A.D. 33.  n fact, now more than ever before the call to bring the gospel to the lost is even more important than ever before.

I am praying that God will bring believers who have been baptised in the Saving Name of Jesus and recieved the glorious gift of the Holy Ghost would be stirred to evangelise the United Kingdom in 2010.  Now, more than ever before our nation is in dire need of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Men and women are searching for answers in all the wrong places, they have turned to organised religion and it has failed them.  Take for example the ongoing crisis of morality within the Anglican Communion, where those Christians are confused about sin and holiness, righteousness and unrighteousness.  People are turning to all sorts of new religious belief one extreme example being the revival in paganism, BBC news reported that there is now at least 1 pagan community in every UK city.  And, let us not forget the spirit of unbelief which has taken grip on the United Kingdom.  The populace are living in a vaccum of spiritual emptiness, clinging only to the cold, amoral science of the survival of the fittest.

We need to reach the nation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

One of the things that strikes me is that the wherever we see growth of Christianity in the UK it has primarily been in immigrant populations, first carribeans now africans, but I am praying God will reach the masses of white English, Welsh and Scottish people in the United Kingdom baptising them with the gift of the Holy Ghost as the Spirit gives utterance.

I don’t know how or when God is going to do this, I do not know who God is going to use.  But I am praying to see it, and praying that I am in place to support the winning of the lost when the revival of the United Kingdom starts.

God, send the Holy Ghost to those who do not yet know you in the United Kingdom.
