Two for the price of one. CoE offer free baptism with weddings.

“Conservatives have lambasted the Church of Englands offer of a twoforone service for engaged couples marriage for them and baptisms for their children born outside marriage saying it confuses Church’s message”
This smacks of desperation. Two very spiritual institutions being reduced to a marketing promotion in order to boost the Anglican church’s plummeting membership.
A [...]

Homegoing Service of Mother Chloe Effie Dunn

Today was such a powerful, solemn, awesome, significant day in the life of the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic – and the wider Apostolic Church family. Today we put our beloved Mother Chloe Effie Dunn to rest (until the appearing of her Great God & Saviour Jesus Christ).

So many wonderful tributes were given. [...]

It’s time to start thinking about registering for Bethel Institute of Biblical Studies

“BIBS is filled with an atmosphere of fellowship with kindred minds. Inspired and focused teaching is always delivered at BIBS. It is a must for all God’s children, young and old. BIBS has enabled both my wife and I to minister in prisons, hospitals and homes and has prepared us for ministry. Use what is available to you, make wise use of your time and learn more about God.”

Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ’s National Women’s Council 2009 – AWESOME!

Just finished an awesome weekend at Bethel’s annual Women’s Council meeting.
The meeting was saturated with the rich presence of God.  It was simply AMAZING.  It had the feel of being on a spiritual prayer retreat.  Each of the services were saturated by seasons of penitent prayer and seeking God, interceding on behalf of the [...]

You can tell the world about this, you can tell the nations about that, tell them Jesus has come…

This is such a powerfully awesome clip!  The song goes: -
You can tell the world about this,
You can tell the nations about that,
Tell them Jesus has come,
Tell them that the Comforter has come,
It brings joy to my soul,
It brings joy to my soul (repeat till fire falls)
This song has so much [...]

Dwayne Trympf: I don’t pack a matic but I pack a Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

I am not a fan of Christian music that is worldly.  That was my initial thought when I saw Dwayne Trympf’s video on YouTube.  However, as I listened I realised that there’s some merit to what Dwayne is singing about.
Looking beyond what his video looks like, there’s actually a really serious message in the song. [...]

What’s the Christian view on “the morning after” pill?

Since the morning after pill (Levonelle) recently started to be advertised on TV it led me to question what I thought about this from a Christian perspective.
In quite a simplistic fashion, the first conclusion I arrived at was that for the Christian our ‘contraception’ is to avoid the ‘night before’ happening in the first [...]

The future of the Oneness Pentecostal movement in the UK

Like Amos let me start by saying: ‘I am not a prophet, nor the son of a prophet’, these are my humble predictions of the future of the Apostolic Pentecostal (Oneness Pentecostal) movement within the UK over the next few years and decades if the Lord tarries.   Note: these are just my own thoughts [...]

Charles Darwin almost as popular as Jesus in the UK in February 2009.

February 2009 marked the bi-centennial commemoration of Charles Darwin, and his work ‘On The Origin of Species’.  Darwin’s theory of natural selection has changed the way the world thinks about life and has had an impact upon the belief that ‘in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth’.
In the UK there has been [...]

Ipswich convocation was a blessing, I’ve been encouraged not to compromise my Christian beliefs

This is not just a year of banks failing, but we will see spiritual structures coming down as well – but God is just pruning His churches to make them stronger and more powerful. There are a faithful few names who God knows of, who are being prepared for a greater release of His anointing and the manifestation of God will be increased to counter the increased spiritual attacks from the powers of darkness.

What are the chances of McCain and Palin stemming America’s moral decline?

Western Societies such as the UK and US are increasingly secularised. While those of faith are becoming more and more marginalised and existing on the fringes of society. Just as the Obama maniacs should not be getting their hopes up of the Atlantic being parted (a la Moses), or Obama feeding 5,000 with 4 Big Macs and fries, likewise those who are good Christian people expecting that McCain and Palin will revolutionise their society and restore it to godly values – don’t get your hopes too high.

The only thing to fear is fear itself.

A lot of the hullabaloo over the US Election seems to be driven by fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of a black man leading, fear of a Evangelical Christian, fear of inexperience, fear of being too old, fear of a suspected ‘muslim’, fear of losing rights, fear of becoming socialists and so on (you get the picture).
