The relationship between the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit

I am just reading 2 Corinthians and chapter 3 verse 17 just came alive in my spirit.
“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” 2 Cor 3:17
It is clearly revealed that the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. The Holy [...]

A new perspective on The Beginning

The other day while talking about God with some of the mothers (elderly ladies) in the church, on a Saturday afternoon while visiting the sick, we all had a wonderful thought about Jesus.
We saw the Oneness of God plainly in the first three words of Genesis, something we never saw or imagined before.
“In the beginning” [...]

It’s time to start thinking about registering for Bethel Institute of Biblical Studies

“BIBS is filled with an atmosphere of fellowship with kindred minds. Inspired and focused teaching is always delivered at BIBS. It is a must for all God’s children, young and old. BIBS has enabled both my wife and I to minister in prisons, hospitals and homes and has prepared us for ministry. Use what is available to you, make wise use of your time and learn more about God.”

See the World’s oldest Bible online for free

The Codex Sinaiticus project brings the oldest known Bible online, making it accessible to everyone.  It is quite fascinating to take a look at the old manuscripts, some of the books have been translated into English too, so you can read the translation alongside the original manusript.
The Codex Sinaiticus was interesting to me as it [...]

Creflo Dollar, Rod Parsley, T.D. Jakes and Benny Hinn share their views on the Godhead. Which one holds a Oneness Pentecostal view of the Godhead?

I was over at Let Us Reason website reading up on some of the arguments used to counter the truth of One God in Christ Jesus when I noticed they were citing popular preachers definitions of the Godhead.  What is striking is that there’s guys like Creflo Dollar describing God in terms that are not [...]

The Kenneth Copeland Blog: showing the errors of prosperity preachers

There’s a great blog that’s been created by a former member of Kenneth Copeland’s ministry exposing the errors of the extreme prosperity heresy.  Have a read through it at http://kennethcopelandblog.com/
Also, just to highlight the shame of these ministries here’s a clip from a BBC America investigation into the prosperity preachers…

Do you believe 1 John 5:7 was added?

The most contentious of scriptures in the Bible is 1 John 5:7 “And there are three that bear witness in heaven…”
According to theologians it is not in the earliest manuscripts and for that reason some say it was a later addition, possibly in support of the Trinity.  My own view is that it does not [...]

Is Atheism a crutch for people who don’t understand the complexity of God?

A good question being asked on Yahoo! Answers at the moment.
Made me smile, a good take on the lame old argument that religion is for weak minded people.

Are we our own God?

A little further down was an irreverent site called: ‘ASBO Jesus’, the site is UK based where ASBO stands for an ‘Anti Social Behaviour Order’. A lot of the cartoons on the site were not the kind of thing I would endorse. However, the below cartoon was quite profound and summed up modern, secularisim’s view of God beautifully.
