The amount spent on bank bailouts could give everyone in the world clean running water

I read a statistic in The Guardian Newspaper that the amount spent on bank bailouts could have funded clean running water for everyone on the planet. At the time only about £50bn had gone to the banks, so imagine what the Trillions spent by the USA could have accomplished? A world without poverty is not [...]

I found what must be the biggest, most amazing, picture of Barack Obama’s inauguration on the internet.
You can find it here.  Take a close up look and see if you can spot T.D. Jakes.  He got a seat right up top, about 6 seats back from George Bush. See if you find him…

It’s clear, Obama was God’s choice!

God raised up a man from nowhere, no one could have predicted that Obama would be the President 5 years ago. Obama has risen to prominence despite being black, with all the racial predjudice that carries. His campaign was mostly funded by grass roots people donating $1 here and there. This contrary to the previous administrations who were elected on the back of $m dollar contributions from industry. Not to say industry has not supported Obama, but it is interesting how much grass roots support he managed to mobilise.

What are the chances of McCain and Palin stemming America’s moral decline?

Western Societies such as the UK and US are increasingly secularised. While those of faith are becoming more and more marginalised and existing on the fringes of society. Just as the Obama maniacs should not be getting their hopes up of the Atlantic being parted (a la Moses), or Obama feeding 5,000 with 4 Big Macs and fries, likewise those who are good Christian people expecting that McCain and Palin will revolutionise their society and restore it to godly values – don’t get your hopes too high.

Is Obama the anti-Christ?

The thing about the anti-Christ is that anti-Christ is firstly a spirit, and it is the spirit that doth already work according to the apostles. It was working in Nero in AD 60 when he blamed the Christians for the great fire of Rome and burned christian’s on crosses to illumate his garden parties.

The only thing to fear is fear itself.

A lot of the hullabaloo over the US Election seems to be driven by fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of a black man leading, fear of a Evangelical Christian, fear of inexperience, fear of being too old, fear of a suspected ‘muslim’, fear of losing rights, fear of becoming socialists and so on (you get the picture).

The Athiest Bus Campaign

Reflections on the current economic famine

Interesting then that today, British Conservative Party leader David Cameron said that he believes we will come through this financial crisis because he believes in the power of ‘human nature’. What is striking is that it is human nature which has gotten us into this mess i.e. mankind’s greed.

Sarah Palin Pentecostal roots mocked…

I don’t want to use this blog to endorse either Sarah Palin or Barack Obama.  However, I read about the above cartoon today and I got the sense that 100 years on since the Azusa Street revival and Topeka Pentecostals are still being mocked for speaking in tongues.
Tongues is Gift of the Spirit promised to [...]
