Phil Cooke has written an excellent blog post listing the 10 warning signs of a ministry diva.
The full post can be read at his blog, I have listed them here…
1. He doesn’t participate in worship. He only comes out to preach.
2. He’s escorted on and off the platform so he doesn’t actually have to mingle [...]

Today many are called Apostle, but few are chosen to be an Apostle.
The current trend within the wider Christian Church today is for leaders to called Apostles. No longer is it good enough to be a Bishop, but a lot of Bishops are upgrading to the title of Apostle. And a lot of independent pastors are self styling themselves as Apostles.
Biblically, Apostle was never meant to [...]

Can you be gay and Christian? Rev William Carey says YES. God still says NO.
In my last post I exposed the error of a group of Gay ‘Apostolic Pentecostals’ (still can’t get over this) who twist scripture to support their homosexual lifestyle choice. I have done some more digging and discovered that their founder, William Carey has written a PDF book entitled: ‘Gay & Christian? Yes‘.
Here is an extract [...]

7 Steps To Effective Evangelism
The job of the evangelist is to spread ‘the good news’, from the Greek ‘euaggelion’. William Barclay in his excellent work ‘New Testatement Words’ gives the etymology of the term ‘euaggelion’. Initally, it was the reward a messenger received for bringing good tidings. However, over time it came to mean the ‘good tidings’ themselves. The euaggelion was something a man was tasked with, it was laid upon you, not chosen. For example, a slave bringing good tidings of his generals victory to a town. Likewise, the gospel is not something we have a choice in sharing, before His ascension Christ laid the responsibility of spreading the euaggelion (good news) on us.

David vs. Jack & The Beanstalk: God’s plan for your spiritual development
For a true pattern of growth in God, we have to look at David’s life and career. Unlike Jack, David was no fool. Instead of spending his youthful days idly he was constantly worshipping God. One striking thing about the life of David was that he didn’t praise God because of who was around. He had a private relationship with God. It has been said that God really knows us by what we do when others are not around, or “character is who you are in the dark”. God doesn’t promote fools, we only need look at Jesus’ teaching about the investment of the talents to realise that!
