You can find it here.  Take a close up look and see if you can spot T.D. Jakes.  He got a seat right up top, about 6 seats back from George Bush. See if you find him…

Top 10 Words (titles, sayings etc) overused by Christians

A bit of a rant… forgive me in advance.
1. Bishop. Everyone seems to be a bishop these days.
2. Kingdom. Used by people with no understanding of the true concept.
3. Apostle. Overused and applied to people who lack the criteria, power, anointing, call of an Apostle.

What’s love got to do with it: can you re-purpose a love song and offer it to God?

A friend sent me this clip today of Bishop Lester Love of Greater Anticoch church.

His argument is that the songs are love songs and what matters is who you sing them to.  So, when [...]

Bishop Monroe R Saunders Snr Crosses Over

‘It may be a time for weeping, but not to say farewell or goodbye. It is time to say, “Bon Voyage.” Saints don’t die. They died already according to Romans 6. And in 2 Corinthians 4:16b, we know that “though the outward man perish, our inward man is renewed day by day.” Death is swallowed up in victory… Man belongs to eternity. Man goes from time to time. His spirit life was born in eternity, and at eventide, he should return there’. (Saunders, Sermons & Hymns, 2004, p. 110-111)

A short history of Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic (Part 2)

On another occasion Sydney had to preach to the more distinguished guests on board including judges and high flyers. For the young Bishop this was daunting as he was not from such a background. After prayer the Lord gave him a message based on “Ephraim is a cake half turned”. Bishop expounded that society was ‘half baked’, well done on the secular and material side but under-cooked on the spiritual side. Society had created a ‘frankenstien monster’ Bishop preached. At the end of the sermon a judge asked him how he managed to preach such a moving message without notes? It is the Holy Ghost that gives inspiration.
