My fundamental beliefs are as follows, these are the basic doctrines to which I hold…
1. One God who is a Spirit (Deut. 6:4).
2. One Lord, Jesus Christ the Son of God (Eph. 4:5-6).
3. Jesus is God & beside Him is no other person/God – (Duet. 6:4, 1 Tim 3:16).
4. One baptism, in the Name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).
5. The baptism of the Spirit is a gift to all believers (Acts 2:38-39).
6. We are saved by grace through faith, not of works Eph. 2:8
7. The church will be raptured before the Great Tribulation (Rev. 4:1, Rev 13:1).
8. The gifts of the Spirit are in operation today and have not ceased (1 Cor. 12).
9. The five fold ministry gifts are functional until Jesus returns (Eph. 4:11).
10. I believe in Heaven & Hell.

Dear Jesusblogger
I do hope all is well with you and your family.
I wanted to know if you have seen the email that is circulating around the world called ‘”666″ Mark is here…this is a must see’, and if so, what you thought about it.
I will let you have my thoughts on the book on Heaven and Hell soon, as previously discussed. I am also in the process of reading Living an Extraordinary Life by Charles F. Stanley, hence why I have not come back to you on Heaven and Hell as yet.
Hopefully I won’t be posting anything more on Douglas Goodman; I’d like to think that my thoughts on the matter are now widely understood, if they weren’t already…:-)
Until next time.
Kindest regards and God bless you.

Jesus is not God because he died and went to hell if not for the purpose of God the FATHER he will not sent the Spirit of God to save -resurrect him, he will be in hell till to day.
Bible says God cannot die and is forever, God is Spirit formless and Spirit doesn’t eat Jesus asked for food to eat from the disciples at the seashore after his resurrection this proven he is not God There are thousands over scriptures proof Jesus is not God. How come you can’t see and who is behind hiding all this from you?

Derick,
Did you not read in Isaiah that a son was promised and He would be called ‘The Everlasting Father… the Almighty God’. That Son that was born is Jesus, God in the flesh, and unless you believe He is you can NOT have relationship with God, neither will you know God expect by Him.

…further the resurrection is a PROOF of his deity.

Jesusblogger, I applaud you and know has his hand upon you. I also believe as you do, with a few exceptions, because it is bible. I believe in one God Deuteronomy 6:4 and Acts 2:38 Jesus name baptism. The gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of other tongues for witnessing; as well as gifts of the spirit are active still today, as Jesus has never changed. I believe in the return of Jesus Christ for a spotless church or body of believers. And I thank you much for standing up for Christ. Your are appreciated. Trinity was brought in by Greeks whether Justin in baptism in 145 AD or Tertullian in Godhead in 197 AD. Trinity was borrowed from Pagan Plato’s work named Timaeus. It all from Babylonian sources. Read A. Hislop’s “The Two Babylon’s”. Every culture has received some form of this corruption invented by Nimrod and his wife. They did it to forget the terrible judgement of God against the evil works of mankind. God will reward you as faithfully stand for him. It will get worse before it gets better. And it only will get better for us who are not take in by triads, Read Matthew 7:20-27. There will be a great let down for the form of godliness people who refused Jesus name baptism, and sent away. We can only warn them as watchmen of God, Ezekiel. God will shake up this world, and turn it upside down once again, before the end. God bless all those who love God in spirit and in truth.

Here is a good study about the name (one name) of God you might enjoy.
Who Is This Jesus We Love And Serve?©
2004, 2008 by Steven D. Ashe and Study The Word Ministries®
First, let me set the tone of this study and my personal feelings of love, friendship and fellowship with all others as long as all are of a honest and truth seeking heart with this Scripture:
Ephesians 4:13 (KJV)
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
I personally subscribe to the following declaration of the things which are more surely believed among us (Luke 1:1 [KJV] Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,), praying that there be neither harmful nor divisive difference of belief to the injury of any, nor the disturbance of the peace and harmony of the church, and that we maybe all of the same mind and same judgment, speaking the same things in love (1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. And Acts 2:42 [KJV] And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.) and with one voice glorifying God, to the edification of His people, and to give a true full and complete Christian witness to the world.
My Statement of Faith:
There is one God, called the Father, who manifested Himself in a body of flesh, called the Son, which was named Jesus Christ, and now indwells in us, and is called, the Holy Ghost/Spirit. I do believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit/Ghost and I have no problem using those terms or titles at various times in teaching, preaching, praying, writing, or any other type of communications. I do believe these 3 terms, or better yet, ‘titles’ are expressions of the One God, not in ‘persons’, but in modes or manifestations of His working, presents and involvement with mankind past, present and future.

Scripture Base for this study:
John 8:24 (KJV)
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Questions to be pursued and answered:
1. What name did our Savior come in? Work in? And declare unto the world?
2. What is the name of the Father? And of the Son? And of the Holy Ghost?
3. What did Jesus mean when he said that we must know he is the “I am He” or we will die in our sins?

20. Jesus is the Comforter.
Notice in these following verses that the Holy Ghost/Spirit is to come to the disciples yet it is Jesus who is the one coming back to live inside of them.
John 14:16-18 (KJV)
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (Note: In the original Greek reading this verse actually reads: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another way to be comforted”. [W. E. Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words - The word Comforter or Consoler corresponds to the name 'Menahem', given by the Hebrews to the Messiah, so every Jew at that time knew who and what that 'comforter' is and would be - Jesus Himself] and then in verses 18 and 28 we see what that other way is, it is Jesus in spirit form coming back to live within us. Remember in Hebrews 13:5 Paul speaking of the Lord, who we know is Jesus, quotes part of 1 Kings 8:57 “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” and by these verses we see that Jesus never left us but lives in us via our own personal Pentecostal experience of Acts 2 as the Holy Ghost/Spirit.)
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. (Note: The word ‘Saviour’ here is the Hebrew word ‘Yehoshua’ and actually means ‘Jehovah saves’ and can properly be translated as the name Jesus for if you remember the name or word Jesus [Strong's Exhaustive concordance #2424 'Iesous' in Greek or in English would be 'Yahweh saves] means ‘Saviour’ so we see that the God of Israel is the Saviour/Jesus. The Greek word or name Iesous is translated ‘-Jesus’ 964 times, ‘Jesus’ 10 times and ‘him’ once in the KJV.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save (Jehovah-Yasha or Yeshua or Yehowshuwa or Yehowshua) his people from their sins.
31. Jesus is the one and only Savior.
Matthew 1:21 (KJV)
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matthew 18:11 (KJV)
11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10 (KJV)
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
John 12:47 (KJV)
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
32. No other name under heaven given unto us that we MUST BE SAVED BY.
Acts 4:12 (KJV)
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Hebrews 2:3 (KJV)
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
33. Everything we do in ‘word’ or ‘deed’ must be done in His one name, that precious name of ‘Jesus Christ’. The one total and complete name of the Eternal, Everlasting, Almighty God = Jesus Christ.
Colossians 3:17 (KJV)
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Wow! What a Bible Study that was. Amen!
Let me give a summary of what we’ve learned:
The ‘NAME’ of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost/Spirit or Comforter is Jesus Christ. To not know this truth is to not know He is the ‘I am He’ of John 8:24 the verse we started out with a few pages back.
John 8:24 (KJV)
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
And to not know that is to suffer the fate like those of Matthew 7:21-23 who ‘used His name’ but ‘didn’t know His name’ as the single only name of the true God. (For a detail study of Seeking The Face Of God as opposed to Seeking God’s Arm or Hand of Power see my study called: “Seeking The Face Of God”© 2009 by Steven D. Ashe and Study The Word Ministries®
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Note:
Notice here that Jesus never once said they didn’t do what they said the had done, yes they did use the name of Jesus in prophesying and casting out devils and in doing many wonderful works but yet in all that they never came to understand that that name was more than just a tool to be used but a name to wear inside and outside of our lives and souls. A name to be saved by not just to work good and wonderful works by and with. To think that the name Jesus or Jesus Christ or Lord Jesus Christ is just the name of one part of God or one third of God called ‘the son’ is to rob God of His glory and position in not only a church but also in our hearts and souls. And remember that God said He was a jealous God and would not share or give His glory to another.
Exodus 20:5 (KJV)
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 34:14 (KJV)
14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Deuteronomy 4:24 (KJV)
24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Ezekiel 39:25 (KJV)
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Isaiah 42:8 (KJV)
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Or to be like the house of Matthew 7:26-27 for Jesus is the rock [(Matthew 16:18 knowing who and what the name Jesus really is and not just knowing it as a 'title name' is knowing who the rock is); 1 Corinthians 10:4] and our foundation on which we are built (1 Corinthians 3:11 and Ephesians 2:20).
Matthew 7:26-27 (KJV)
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 16:18 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11 (KJV)
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:20 (KJV)
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
When Jesus in Matthew 28:19 instructed His disciples to go and teach all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost Peter and all the other disciples, turned Apostles, did just that for they got it right when they all preached, taught and baptized everyone from Acts 2 throughout the rest of the New Testament in the one and only full and complete name of God and not just in the ‘titles of what He was’ but ‘who He was’ JESUS CHRIST.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Acts 2:38 (KJV)
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 24:45 (KJV)
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Luke 24:47 (KJV)
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Note:
Some interesting fact about Matthew 28:19:
“The Demonstratio Evangelica” by Eusebius: Eusebius was the Church historian and Bishop of Caesarea. On page 152 Eusebius quotes the early book of Matthew that he had in his library in Caesarea. According to this eyewitness of an unaltered Book of Matthew that could have been the original book or the first copy of the original of Matthew. Eusebius informs us of Jesus’ actual words to his disciples in the original text of Matthew 28:19: With one word and voice He said to His disciples: “Go, and make disciples of all nations IN MY NAME, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” That ‘name’ is of course Jesus.
Here are some more historical references showing where tradition replaced the original teachings of Christ”
ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA, 11th Edition Volume 3 Page 365-366: “The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Ghost by the Catholic Church in the 2nd Century.” Volume 3 Page 82, “Everywhere in the oldest sources it states that baptism took place in the name of Jesus Christ.”
CANNEY ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RELIGION, Page 53, “The early church always baptized in the name of Lord Jesus until the development of the trinity doctrine in the 2nd Century.”
1913 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA, Volume 2, Page 365, Here the Catholic acknowledge that baptism was changed by the Catholic Church. “The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century.”
HASTINGS ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RELIGION, Volume 2 Pages 377-378 and 389, “The Christian baptism was administered using the name of Jesus. The use of the Trinitarian formula of any sort was not suggested in the early church history, baptism was always in the name of the Lord Jesus, until the time of Justin Martyr when the trinity formula was used.” Hastings also said in Volume e Page 377, commenting on Acts 2:38, “NAME was an ancient synonym for person. Payment was always made in the name of some person referring to ownership. Therefore one being baptized in Jesus Name became His personal property.” “Ye are Christ’s” I Corinthians 3:23.
NEW INTERNATIONAL ENCYCLOPEDIA, Volume 22 Page 477, “The term “trinity” was originated by Tertullian, Roman Catholic Church father.
TYNDALE NEW TESTAMENT COMMENTARIES: “… The true explanation why the early church did not at once administer baptism in the threefold name is that the words of Matthew 28:19 were not meant as a baptismal formula. [Jesus] was not giving instructions about the actual words to be used in the service of baptism but, as has already been suggested, was indicating that the baptized person would by baptism pass into the possession of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.”
THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RELIGION AND ETHICS, James Hastings, Page 384, ‘there is no evidence [in the early church history' for the use of the triune name."
THE TYNDALE NEW TESTAMENT COMMENTARIES: Volume I, Page 275, "It is often affirmed that the words in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost are not the ipsissima verba [exact words] of Jesus, but … a later liturgical addition.”
WILHELM BOUSSET, KYRIOS CHRISTIANITY, Page 295: “The testimony for the wide distribution of the simple baptismal formula [in the name of Jesus] down into the second century is so overwhelming that even in Matthew 28:19, the Trinitarian formula was later inserted.”
THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD BIBLE ENCYCLOPEDIA, Volume 4, Page 2637, under “Baptism”, says: “Matthew 28:19 in particular only canonizes a later ecclesiastical situation, that its universalism in contrary to the facts of early Christian history, and its Trinitarian formula (is) foreign to the mouth of Jesus.”
NEW REVISED STANDARD VERSION, concerning Matthew 28:19: “Modern critics claim this formula is falsely ascribed to Jesus and that it represents later (Catholic) church tradition, for nowhere in the book of Acts (or any other book of the Bible) is baptism performed with the name of the trinity… ”
THE BIBLE COMMENTARY 1919, page 723: Dr. Peake makes it clear that: “The command to baptize into the threefold name is a late doctrinal expansion. Instead of the words baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost we should probably read simply – “into My Name,”"
And to add a giant kick to all this and to be even more astounded get a load of these other historical documents and what they have to say about Baptism in Jesus name verses in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA, 11th Edition, Published in 1910, Volume 3, Subject: BAPTISM, Page 365, Column 2, Point #5 speaking of The Baptismal Formula: “The Trinitarian formula and trine immersion were not uniformly used from the beginning, nor did they always go together.” Another document ‘The Teaching of the Apostles”, indeed prescribes baptism in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but on the next page speaks of those who have been baptized into the name of the Lord – the normal formula of the New Testament. In the 3rd Century baptism in the name of Christ was still so widespread that Pope Stephen (the first) in opposition to Cyprian of Carthage, declared it to be valid.”
Then on Page 366, Column 1: “Pope Nicholas, however (858-867), in the Responsa ad consulta Burgarorum, allowed baptism to be valid tantum in nomine Christi, as in the Acts.” – Here we find that Pope Nicholas who was Pope between 858 and 867 recognized and accepted and even promoted baptism to be done in the Name of Jesus Christ (nomine Christi). Also on Page 366, Column 1 is stated: “Thine immersion then … Invented to explain an existing custom, which the church (the Catholic church) had adopted from its pagan medium. For pagan lustrations were normally threefold:”
There you have it. At least 2 Popes, Bishops Of Rome, Leaders of the Catholic Church declares and proclaims that baptism in the name of Jesus Christ was the original formula and is the accepted way to be baptized and that trine or Trinitarian baptism was adopted from pagans and was not part of the original formula or original church doctrine.
Some more Popes that historically recognized baptism in the name of Jesus Christ are:
Pope Zephyrinus – Pope from 199 to 217 and Pope Calixtus 1 (also spelled Callistus)- Pope from 217 to 222 both these Popes believed and promoted the use of the name of Jesus in baptism as well as the one being baptized being totally submersed underwater.
Pope Stephen V – Pope from 885 to 891 (“He pursued the policy of Nicholas 1.”)
Then there was “Ursinus, an African monk (in Gennad. De Scr. Eccl. Xxvii.)Hilare I(de Synodis. Lxxxv.) the synod of Nemours (AD 1284), also asserted that baptism into the name of Christ alone was valid.”
In my Research Paper called: “Bishops (Popes) of Rome That Believed In Only One God, One Person In The Godhead Whose Name Was Jesus Christ” © They accepted and promoted water immersion in the single name of Jesus Christ. I list 6 before 300 A.D. and 2 after. And I just found another one Pope Zachery who didn’t like it but was forced due to political pressure from a country full of Apostolics to accept it. With that entry it makes 9 so far.
Believe me when I tell you that I have in my private personal library a collection of over 200 documented historical records including the ones I typed above that shows and proves that the original and only way to be baptized is by total submersion and that in the name of Jesus Christ or the Lord Jesus Christ.
I don’t use any documents or references in any of my Bible Studies unless I have the original book, paper, document, letter or reference in my own personal private library or I can show the original source. I will never be accused of writing something that ‘I heard’, ‘read somewhere’, or ‘gathered from an unknown source’. I, in fact, only use what I can show as hard facts from my private library or directly from the source, so nothing I write can be called ‘hearsay’ or ‘unsubstantiated’.
