True Holy Ghost Jesus Name Apostolic Worship: Bishop Dunn and the saints of First United Church of Jesus Christ (Brooklyn, New York)

During a trip to New York earlier this year I picked up some old preaching videos that’d been converted into DVD format. The messages were priceless, but sold for $15 for 3, messages by Bishop Sydney A. Dunn, Bishop Monroe R. Saunders Snr., and Bishop Leslie J. Barnes. The DVD’s were of services in the early 1990’s and when I saw how the saints worshipped God it moved me. Also, the depth of the preaching. These were/are preachers who don’t just pull out 1 verse and inflate it. They exegete a passage of text word by word, line by line, as if drilling for oil. And when the anointing of God takes them to a deep well, they extract it for all they can pull out of it.

Also, they preach with a language and expression that I don’t think anyone of my generation can match without taking a trip to the 3rd heaven. Bishop Dunn spoke of chasing a career in the world instead of God and described it as ‘decorated vanity’! He also spoke of the inn keeper of Bethlehem and how he must be saying: “If only I’d known” and that there will be “a lot of people in hell saying – ‘If only I’d known’” tremendous.

Here’s a clip of the worship from one of the DVD’s, watch to the end it really moved me to see the Holy Ghost fire at the end, this is worship you can really feel. It is the Apostolic way of connecting with God… something which no one else can imitate.
